Activity Programmer

Location: 4300 Hwy 7, Unionville

Schedule: Casual

Pay Rate: $22.73

Start Date: ASAP

Reference: 2025-RTAP

The Activity Programmer plays a pivotal role at Unionville Home Society. You will have the opportunity to provide support to the Recreation Department, while being responsible for administering and supporting special events logistics and program curriculum development strategies.

Enjoy planning and implementing program curriculums based on the needs, wants and desires, making sure that greater choice, flexibility, independence, health promotion and wellness are key components

Prepare, plan, organize, implement and evaluate client participation in special events, group programming.

What you bring



Graduate of a college with a Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation, Activity Programmer, Social Service Worker or Gerontology is an asset

Experience working in a recreation department or a senior environment is preferred

Knowledge and experience in Montessori programming, Gentle Persuasive Approaches in Dementia Care or cognitive impairments
