JOB DETAILS
Start date: November 6, 2023
Five days per week, Monday to Friday with occasional evenings and weekends
Seven hours per day with a one-hour lunch break
Day shift

ABOUT THE WALES
The R\xc3\xa9sidence Wales Home is a private, not-for-profit, government-designated, English-speaking retirement home situated in the Eastern Townships. The Wales provides a continuum of care for up to 240 adults who range from being completely independent to those requiring specialized care, including two micro-milieus for seniors afflicted with dementia, due to the CHSLD Wales Inc. operating under the same roof. The Wales accomplishes its mission of maintaining senior autonomy with a valuable team of 187 skilled employees, over 210 passionate volunteers, and several professional partners. The Wales Home Foundation\'s mission is to generate, receive, and manage funds with a view to long-term profitability; to disburse said funds to the Wales Home upon request, evaluating project benefits to residents and/or employees; and to act in the employees\' and residents\' best interests constantly to ensure long- term operational sustainability.

JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Activity Coordinator is to organize, implement, and evaluate activities that meet the psychosocial, physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the residents. The person collaborates in order to accommodate residents across the continuum of care and organizes joint activities in order to stimulate social interactions between the residents from both entities.

QUALIFICATIONS
Dipl\xc3\xb4me d\'\xc3\xa9tudes coll\xc3\xa9giales (DEC) in an appropriate discipline /
Familiar with community resources, an asset /
Good knowledge of English and French (written and spoken)
Valid driver\'s license and automobile required
Two years of experience, an asset
