ACP Applied Products, a division of Canadian Road Builders Inc., is a dynamic company of experienced engineers, applied product installers and sales staff, all with a firm commitment to quality in products and services in regard of pavement preservation and performance product. We provide and install chip seal surface dressing to assist with pavement preservation, cold milling for asphalt and concrete and applications of geomembrane linings and cappings. Milling Division

Base: Morinville, AB

Position: Labourer, Full-time Seasonal

Start Date: This position has an anticipated start date of May 1, 2023, (weather dependent)

Main Responsibilities

This position is part of the ACP Applied Products Milling Division. We are based in Morinville. As a Labourer you will be responsible to comply with safe work procedures and practices while you contribute to the teams road construction and maintenance projects. Versatility, flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude are required in this position. Your responsibility is to provide support to the Milling Division, in order to ensure effective and efficient operations.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED an asset
• Must own reliable transportation
• Must successfully complete drug and alcohol and fit test. *Note: This includes the use of marijuana, medical or non. As this is a safety sensitive position there is a zero tolerance policy in place for cannabis use
• Valid Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver\'s License is required
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to perform manual labour (ability to lift up to 40kg/90lbs)
• Willing to work out of town (Work in AB, BC, SK, YT, NWT & MB)
• Willing to work night shifts if required
• Experience with safety regulations and safe practices is an asset
• Ability to work in uncertain outdoor conditions
• Ability to work overtime hours

Job Responsibilities

• Learn our processes and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment
• Understand the job and the hazards that are present
• Maintain proper awareness of your surroundings
• Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections
• Keep current and accurate driver logs, using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD or eLog)
• Execute and maintain temporary traffic accommodation (signs, arrowboards, barricades, traffic cones)
• Perform flag-person tasks
• Assist operators, lead hand, and foreman in their duties
• Other as determined by a supervisor

Total Compensation

• Starting wage is dependent on experience, retroactive wage increases may be applicable after candidate demonstrates qualifications ($18-30 / hr)
• Group Registered Pension Plan (RPP) after successful completion of 90-day probationary period
• Group health benefits (dental, vision, medical, disability, life) after successful completion of 90-day probationary period
• Annual boot allowance
