Summary



Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, the Accounts Receivable Coordinator will perform day-to-day AR functions in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The role will focus on collections, accounting functions and deductions to ensure support in identifying pricing and customer shortage discrepancies in a manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Process high volume customer remittance & deductions, including invoicing and payment processing. Post customer payments (EDI, Wire Transfers, and Cheques) in a timely and efficient manner. Follow up with customers for invoices collections and backups for deductions. Utilize client portals to process audit requests and provide necessary backup documentation. Analyze customers' claims for deductions (shortages, price discrepancies etc.) including alte fees and damage claims. Navigate through customers' portals (review invoices/claims status, upload invoices etc.) Liaise with other departments for issues resolution or getting approvals. Perform regular account reconciliations and keep customers' accounts paid on time. Analyze overdue accounts and produce reports, as required. Perform other accounting related duties, as required.

Required Experience

Post-secondary education in Accounting or a related field. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or a related ERP system is an asset. 2+yrs of experience in a AR role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of payroll best practices and time/attendance systems. Strong knowledge of government regulations. Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material. Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills. Excellent decision-making; problem-solving, and analytical skills. High attention to detail; strong organizational; multi-tasking; and prioritizing skills. Advanced Excel, excellent computer skills. Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) designation preferred.
