In this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Ancaster, Ontario area.Key responsibilities- Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans- Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization- Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks- Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP- Balance bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a number of different ledgers- Test documents and codes
- High attention to detail- Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable- Proficient in ERP systems- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)- Comprehensive knowledge of cash applications- Proficiency in Aging Accounts- Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skillsRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
