Robert Half is partnering with a growing software company who is seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to join a dynamic accounting team. A strong candidate for this Accounts Receivable Specialist position will maintain billings by generating invoices and ensuring account setup is correctly done, maintain reconciliations, and assist with ad-hoc reporting. Located in Vancouver, British Columbia, this role would initially work onsite and transition to a 100% remote role.

How you will make an impact

- Review customer accounts for accurate setup

- Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

- Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers

- Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans

- Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

- Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

-Maintain balance sheet reconciliations

Requirements

Skills & Experience:

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

- Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

- Salesforce Sales Cloud and QuickBooks Online experience considered strong asset

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular

- Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
