Location:

This role which requires at least 2 or 3 days on-site at our sites across BC or office in Burnaby and up to 2 or 3 days remote per week.




Salary:

$58,000 - $67,000

Actual compensation within the range will be based on experience

We also offer quarterly variable compensation package (bonus) + benefits

What You'll Do





As an Accounts Receivable Administrator, you will be an integral part of the Finance Transactions Team. You will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable function within the Finance Team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Purpose of the role





You will work closely with stakeholders within the Finance Team, as well as the wider business, to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, collection of outstanding receivables, and reconciliation of customer accounts. This role will also support the Finance Manager - Transactions to further develop the Accounts Receivable function, and processes within, for both Specsavers' internal and external customer base.


Key Responsibilities





Generate and send out invoices to customers accurately and in a timely manner.



Follow up on outstanding receivables and collections promptly and professionally.



Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.



Maintain accurate records of customer payments and transactions.



Monitor aging reports and work with the customers to ensure timely payment.



Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address any billing or invoicing inquiries from customers.



Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.



Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers.



Assist with other finance-related tasks and projects as needed.




What We're Looking For




Essential





Proven experience working in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.



Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (e.g. ASPE).



Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Proficiency in problem-solving techniques to address billing discrepancies, resolve customer issues, and implement effective collections strategies.



Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service to customers while balancing the need to collect outstanding payments.



Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.



Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.



Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.



Previous experience in customer service or collections.
