We're looking for an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team based in the 8330 Chester St. office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Finance Manager.

Job Overview:

The primary objective of the AP/AR Specialist is to facilitate prompt, precise, and efficient recording of all financial transactions. Operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, this department not only upholds Purdy's robust financial standing but also cultivates positive relationships with customers, vendors and stakeholders.



You will have the opportunity to:



Process and reconcile all company credit cards at period end. Process monthly rent, percentage rent, and storage costs for all shops; and maintain rent and lease schedules accordingly. Process transport invoices for all sales channels. Process and reconcile all customer invoices for specific channels; and maintain strong customer relationships while monitoring aged AR accounts. Create and maintain AP vendor accounts. Create and maintain AR customer accounts. Reconcile and submit annual recycling returns for various provincial authorities; and accrue period-end recycling accruals. Provide ad hoc support for accounts payable requests. Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to navigate any issues. You will be a good fit if you have: Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance Two to three years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable; preferably in high volume environment; preferably with manufacturing and/or retail experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and proven ability to collaborate with a large team across other departments. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Experience with Canadian commodity taxes, ERP systems, and accounting software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to be proactive and resolve issues.
