Position: Accounts Payable Clerk
Location: Downtown Toronto (TTC accessible) onsite Monday to Friday
Job Type: 1-year contract with option to extend

Our not-for-profit client located in Downtown Toronto is adding an Accounts Payable Clerk to its growing team. The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the processing of expenses on a timely basis as well as reconciliations of accounts, preparation of reports and development of the annual budget.

Qualifications and knowledge required to be successful in this role include:

- Completion of at least 2 years\' post-secondary program, diploma or degree with a specialty in Accounting
- Two years of recent relevant experience in the accounting field or in stated in the major responsibilities
- Proficiency in operating Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & Access), database software and accounting applications
- Demonstrated ability to handle large volume of work while maintaining a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to use sound judgment in consideration of financial resources
- Flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of support tasks
- Developed interpersonal, customer service skills to work cooperatively with co-workers and stakeholders
- Effective communication skills in the use of email, telephone and interpersonal interactions
