Accounts Payable Supervisor

We are looking for a driven individual to join our finance team and be a key member of our Accounts Payable department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple tasks in a busy work environment, proficiency in working with ERP software, and a willingness to learn. We are looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude who takes pride in their work and is looking to grow their career with one of Canada's best managed companies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Review invoices for the proper authorization. Key in accounts payable invoices each month, matching of all source documents, and ensuring appropriate GL distribution. Mid-volume expense reimbursements and credit card statements. Manage and maintain existing and new vendor setups. Input payment transactions and run cheques. Correspondence with branches. Communicate with vendors on invoices, receiving, and payments of outstanding accounts. Overseeing Accounts Payable departmental activities to ensure items are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Hiring, training, and motivating the Accounts Payable team. Support and lead the Accounts Payable team and provide coaching and mentoring. Completion of other accounting duties and projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral Experience in a fast-paced and high-volume collections environment Ability to problem solve, multitask, work effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines Proficient with Excel, Wor,d and MS Outlook Basic accounting knowledge Eager to learn and ability to apply newly acquired skills for immediate results Strong attention to detail, organization, and multi-tasking skills Ability to effectively work in a team environment

Salary:

$50,000 - $55,000 / per annum
