As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. You will be responsible for verifying and reconciling invoices, processing payments and maintaining vendor relationships. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, strong excel skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Accounts Payable Specialist

, you would be responsible for:

Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process with precision and efficiency. Develop your Excel skills by working on data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation tasks Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies. Timely processing of accounts payables invoices to the terms and conditions of the vendor. Completing the data entry, auditing, and processing of administrative and freight invoices. Verifying, reconciling, and maintaining Vendor account statements and information. Escalating current or potential issues to the VP of Finance.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills and abilities:



2 years of office experience. Ability to handle a large volume of transactions on a daily basis Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, and complex formulas. Hands on Experience with Great Plains and PowerBI considered an asset Experience in an accounts payable function an asset. Post-secondary education in accounting or related education is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook) High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Previous experience completing one time and/or regular scheduled report generation and analysis. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently. Desire to learn and take on new tasks as assigned.
