About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in various accounting software.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing. Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable activities. Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding of expenses. Provide analysis of accounts payable metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Education & Experience:

DEC in Accounting, bachelor's degree in accounting is preferred. Proven experience in accounts payable or related accounting roles. Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits and general ledger accounting. ERP experience is required. SAP Business One Solution is an asset. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Fluent in English.
