The Accounts Payable Manager will manage the centralized full cycle Accounts Payable (\xe2\x80\x9cAP\xe2\x80\x9d) function at Gateway\xe2\x80\x99s corporate office and serve as the project lead for the AP function as part of the company\xe2\x80\x99s accounting system upgrade project.

Key Responsibilities

• Assists with the compilation and development of AP policy and procedures and administers the PO/Invoice approval matrix
• Works with other departments, sites and external auditors with regard to financial transactions and ensures related policies and procedures are being followed by internal staff
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy of the accounts payable function
• Ensures all out-of-province/out-of-country invoices are processed with appropriate tax considerations (PST-self assessment, withholding taxes, etc)
• Assists with month-end AP closing procedures and review corresponding AP bank reconciliation/month end accrual listing to ensure accuracy
• Assists with the accounting system upgrade project by acting as the project lead for Accounts Payable function
• Manages monthly Accounts Payable spend and budget for weekly cash outflow
• Leads and mentors the AP team and fosters a collaborative and high-performance work environment
• Assists with other AP and Finance duties on an as needed basis

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
• CPA designation or equivalent is an asset
• 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Treasury/Accounting or related fields
• Experience with document management systems preferred
• Experience with project management preferred
• General knowledge of Accounts Payable theories and practices required
• Advanced knowledge and work experience on various accounting software including Microsoft Great Plains, Acumatica, and Management Reporter is an asset
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills are required
