What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire an Accounts Payable Coordinator within our PayByPhone division. This position falls under our Corporate Payments line of business, located in Vancouver, Canada. In this role, you will be supporting the finance department by completing routine clerical and accounts payments, such as recording payments (entering invoices, expenses claims), processing payments and other accounting duties of the company. In this role, you will be reporting to the Financial Controller.

As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:Assigned workspace in office and home office setup Company-issued equipment Formal, hands-on training

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:Ensure that all invoices received are valid business expenses Ensure all invoices have required document support (such as an order form, PR or delivery slip), approval and descriptions Record all payable invoices in accounting software Code invoices to correct company, business units, GL accounts, departments and subcategories Ensure that all transactions are recorded appropriately, on time and using the appropriate description Perform a weekly payment run (or as required) and ensure all payments are signed and mailed/couriered in a timely fashion Responsible for Employee Expense Claims process Validate all submitted employee expense claims by ensuring that the amounts claimed are within company policy, approved and are coded correctly Upload transactions into Accounting Software routinely and on time Perform month-end tasks including prepare accruals and accrual journals Ensure that the Accounts Payable subledger is kept up to date and clean of any issues. Prepare and present the Monthly Aged Accounts Payable to the Financial Controller/Director. Prepare cash flow requirements to support Financial Controller Prepare vendor account reconciliations. Update and maintain payment tracker. Enter manual bills (i.e. Tax remittances, etc.) Prepare tax compliance items - GST, PST, WA, etc. Credit card payment

Qualifications & SkillsMust be detail-oriented, accurate and organized Able to prioritize work, stay flexible and adapt to changing priorities Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, particularly during the month end A basic understanding of fundamental accounting principles and concepts would be an asset Excellent organizational skills

Demonstrated experience / projectsService oriented, positive attitude, personable, courteous and outgoing personality Proven experience interacting with various internal and external stakeholders

Technical / Hard SkillsStrong Excel and Word skills Proficient with data entry People Management experience (if applicable) 2+ years' experience in a similar role

Pay Transparency
This salary range is provided for Canada which require such disclosure. Where a position or applicant may fall in a particular wage range depends on a number of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience training licenses and certifications (if applicable), and other business and organization needs. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic markets. At Corpay it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. The estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is $55,000-$60,000 CAD.
