Job Description

Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that offers an invigorating work environment among a team of motivated professionals. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The primary focus of this role is matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Based out of the Vaughan, Ontario area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / contract / contract / contract / temporary opening.

What you get to do every single day

- Carry out additional tasks as assigned

- Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

- Implement full-cycle A/P

- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

- Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners

- Provide support during internal and external audits
- Spreadsheet and database capabilities

- High attention to detail

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- Microsoft Excel experience

- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
