Robert Half is in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with a company in the Real Estate & Property field. As the Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk, your efforts will become an important part to the success of a company in the Real Estate & Property industry. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the New Westminster, British Columbia area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Responsibilities

- Handle the administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department

- Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

- Provide customer service to internal business partners

- Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed

- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed

- Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail

- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

- Manage full-cycle A/P

Requirements

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Great attention to detail

- Yardi experience

- Proven knowledge of data entry

- Wide ranging experience with Review Invoices

- General familiarity with Coding Invoices

- Practical knowledge of Enter Invoices

- Yardi Enterprise experience

- Yardi Property Management experience preferred

- Well-founded grasp of Accounts Payable (AP)

- Previous experience working with Microsoft Excel

- Numeric data entry experience

- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel

- Earlier work involving Invoice Discrepancies

- Command of Yardi Software

- Quality experience with Invoice Processing

- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

- Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
