Accounts Payable Clerk

Job Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager. As a member of the corporate accounting team, the incumbent is responsible for the coding, processing and reconciliation of all accounts payables for the residential operations.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate, timely and details processing of the accounts payable process;
- Review invoices for cost coding, authorization of expenditure and accurate recording to proper cost centres or general ledger accounts;
- Responsible for quality customer service of vendors and internal clients;
- Prepare and mail processed cheque runs;
- Filing for all accounts payables processed;
- Ad hoc requests and other duties as required.
- Previous education or combination of experience in accounting or finance is considered an asset;
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and Word is required;
- Strong and proven attention to detail;
- Proven organizational skills, with an ability to work well under with high volumes under strict timelines;
- Strong team player and exceptional communication skills for training and team leadership;
- Excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to interact effectively with senior management;
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision.
