Canterbury Coffee is seeking a detail-oriented and organized

Accounts Payable

individual to join our dynamic finance team who can manage both manual and system based processes. In this role, you will be responsible for part of the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our accounts payable transactions. This is a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization and ensuring that our vendors are paid promptly.

You are great at:



Review, code and input invoices for multiple entities and vendors. Processing a high-volume of accounts payable invoices and payments accurately and efficiently. Reconciling AP ledger accounts, corporate credit accounts and vendor accounts. Maintaining accurate records of all accounts payable transactions in the company's financial system. Responding to vendor inquiries and resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly. Collaborating with other departments to obtain necessary approvals and documentation for payment processing. Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts payable. Participating in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function. Supporting the department in implementing policies and procedures and ensuring compliance. Back up for weekly payment runs. Maintain filing systems. Archive AP files at year end and create new AP files for the new fiscal year.

You have:



A High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or courses in finance, accounting, or related field an asset. Some experience in Accounts Payable or similar function. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles. Proficiency in using accounting software, Dynamics AX an asset and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior experience with vendor management and resolving payment issues - an asset.
