The Role

The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing and maintaining financial records related to accounts payable. This position requires a high level of accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Process high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently

Match purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips

Verify approval on all invoices and check requests

Code invoices to proper general ledger accounts and cost control accounts

Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments

Track, post and reconcile credit card receipts and statements

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

Maintain vendor files and records

Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments

Assist with month-end closing and reporting

Skills

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred

1+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience

Proficient with accounting software

Previous experience with quickbooks desktop would be an asset

Proficient with Microsoft suite ( Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $62,400.00-$66,560.00 per year
