GENERAL DESCRIPTION We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions and reporting for our organization. Your expertise in accounting principles, financial analysis, and attention to detail will contribute to the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong accounting background to make a significant impact on our organization\'s financial health and success. Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Access invoices from vendor portals and record them in the books on a monthly basis and on time for 35+ companies in the group
  • Prepare weekly, bi-weekly and monthly AP reports for all companies in the group.
  • Prepare and review payment requests and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment-related issues.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and reports as needed.
Requirements and Skills: Mandatory
  • Accounting diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience in accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in using Quickbooks Online and Yardi.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of French (desirable).
