Our client, a family office, is looking for an AP Administrator to join their team. This role reports to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
Day to day processing of accounts payable and other cash movements, including:
Review invoice particulars and ensure all invoices are approved prior to keying
Following up all discrepancies
Analyzing invoices and distributing the charges to correct expense accounts and cost centers by posting the entry
Scanning/attaching backup documentation for payables
Coordinating payment runs with colleagues
Matching and posting payments
Post invoices paid by credit card and reconciliation of credit card statements
Participate meaningfully in other aspects of the payments cycle (daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual) for a variety of entities (corporations, trusts, foundations, and joint ventures) including payables/cost reporting, reconciliations, vendor inquiries and GST/HST compliance
Participate meaningfully in identifying and implementing on-going improvements to procedures, processes, and reporting including use of technology solutions
Take ownership of delegated assignments and ensure that filing/reporting requirements and deadlines are met
Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
Protect organization\'s value by keeping information confidential.
Qualifications:
University degree or college diploma
4+ years A/P experience
Family Office and Investment/Holding companies experience would be an asset
Knowledge of HST
Proficient in MS Excel * Microsoft Dynamics (or related) - Asset
Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills
