Summary:
Blue Falls Manufacturing ("BFM") is currently seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Administrator to provide temporary, interim coverage for a maternity leave. This is a full-time role with the potential for permanency. As part of the Finance team, the successful candidate will be based out of our West Edmonton Retail Store location. Once the select individual has spent some time in the role and demonstrates proficiency in the position, the opportunity may be presented to work remotely, 2 to 3 days per week!
This position requires excellent accounting acumen and the ability to swiftly gain and absorb working knowledge of BFM's operations, in order to be a steadfast guardian of its cash flow. We are looking for a trustworthy individual who learns and works with speed and accuracy, and who can work well under pressure, with limited supervision.
Work/life balance is part of BFM's philosophy - Our Finance & Administration team works Monday thru Friday, typically 8:00AM to 4:30PM.

Duties:
Perform A/P duties for multiple entities under the Spa Logic umbrella including BFM, BFU, and other companies
Keep track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
Book and reconcile multiple bank accounts and credit card accounts
Book and maintain intercompany transactions such as monthly rent and other fees
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
Pay employees by verifying expense reports and preparing cheques
Pay vendors by scheduling pay cheques and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally, respond to all vendor inquiries regarding finance
Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reports
Maintain historical records
Contribute to improving the overall payment process
Contribute to the development of finance related policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with inventory team where aspects of inventory tracking and finance overlap
Skills/Abilities:
Deadline-driven; ability to work within defined and/or urgent timelines
Cross-functional understanding of accounting and inventory systems management
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality; utilize discretion and diplomacy
Ability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Meticulous and ability to work with a high level of accuracy
Extremely well-organized
Computer Proficiency:
Proficiency in commonly utilized ERP software i.e. Sage, Microsoft Navision, MS Business Central 18
Experience:
3-7 years' experience working in an A/P capacity for a company with over 50 employees
Proficiency in handling multiple currencies and performing conversions (mainly CAD and USD)
Prior A/P work within the manufacturing industry considered an asset
Education/Training/ Certification:
Relevant coursework, certificate, or diploma in bookkeeping, finance/accounting, economics, business administration, etc. preferred; a combination of experience and education will be considered
