The job involves:
Maintaining and preparing vendor invoice packages from audit to entry to final payment
Communicating and coordinating with vendors and internal departments to obtain approvals and required documentation
Validating HST registration and taxes charged on vendor invoices
Identifying capital purchases vs. operating expenses, non-resident transactions where withholding taxes apply
Reconciling vendor statements to sub-ledger and reviewing open receivers on a monthly basis
Working safely, and in compliance with OH&S policies and legislation
Thorough knowledge of all activities and promotions occurring at our casino properties
Flexibility to support a 24/7 operation
The ideal candidate has:
Minimum 2 - 3 years accounting experience
Outstanding communication and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing duties
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, AS400, Infinium, Stratton Warren)
