We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Clerk to join our Stores team. The Accounts Clerk will be responsible for assisting the Store's Supervisor with maintaining the Winnipeg Clinic's general office supplies and medical stores supplies to ensure adequate stock levels are available.
Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in supply chain/inventory and Medical Device Reprocessing - Preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Primary Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:
Assists the supervisor with maintaining the Winnipeg Clinic's general office supplies and medical stores supplies to ensure adequate stock levels are available
Assists and supports the supervisor in purchasing/ordering general office supplies and medical stores supplies with vendors, using Pos to maintain adequate stock
Help monitor/track inventory and usage per department
Assist with receiving requisitions and issues stock to respective departments/sections/floors as required and limit wastage
Assist with rotating inventory and performing regular inventory counts of stores department and other supply storage areas throughout the clinic to help ensure stock is maintained
Assist with sorting and mailing invoices/POS for processing/payment by the Accounts Payable Department
Assist with unpacking deliveries as they come in for various suppliers and reconciling them to the POS.
Fill out and prepare orders for the next day deliveries to various floors (according to schedule)
Maintain and keep shelves in medical stores stock room organized and adequately filled with inventory/supplies
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering as necessary
Sorting and preparing devices and tools for sterilization in accordance with established departmental procedures/protocols
Creating and maintaining record of instruments/equipment/supplies received, sterilized and repackaged
Utilize the appropriate chemical detergents and disinfectants to use on specific instruments/equipment/supplies as per established procedures
Performing manual cleaning/scrubbing/brushing of soiled instruments with disinfectant soap and chemical soaks according to procedure
Loading/unloading and operating equipment (e.g., autoclave) used for decontamination procedures
Following instructions on how to sterilize instruments/equipment/supplies effectively and in accordance with the defined standard/procedures
Prepare, wrap, and sterilize surgical towels for various floors
Inspecting, sorting, and reassembling decontamination instruments/equipment/supplies for repacking
Clean and maintain equipment frequently (e.g., autoclave) used in sterilization procedures according to manual
Assess then test the effectiveness of sterilization procedures by performing randomized tests on stored equipment/supplies as determined by the supervisor
Keep MDR room clean and sanitized at all times
Staying knowledgeable of industry standards and best practices
Provide training to new employees on various equipment and sterilization best practices
Pick up soiled laundry for it to be sorted and put in respective bins to be picked-up by 3rd party cleaners at designated collection point
Clean laundry is counted, sorted, and taken to various floors as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
