We are a farm elevator/marketing agricultural commodities business in Thorndale, ON. We run a few of our family businesses out of our small office.
Duties/responsibilities:
The below duties/tasks is a representation of what you will be doing, but will be modified/added to based on discretion of supervisor. Agricultural background/ experience is required.
1. Office Reception
- Answering phones/e-mails.
- weighing in/out trucks.
- growers communications and redirecting to appropriate parties.
2. Data Entry
- crop calculations and dataecording.
- sales and marketing support.
-experience with microsoft office/ excel/word
3. Bookkeeping and Accounting
-experience with Simply accounting
-payables/recieveables/invoicing
-month end account balancing/HST
4. Documentation & sales support
5. Logistics - organizing truck schedules
Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping/Simply accounting experience is required.
-agricultural experience required
- Experience using Microsoft word & excel required.
- Excellent communication & computer skills.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Ability to learn new tasks.
- Able to work as a team.
-Basic math skills.
