WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As our
Accounting/Member Accounts Administrator
, you'll report to the Accounts Receivable/Member Accounts Supervisor and will be a key player in AHPC's finance team, ensuring effective, efficient, and accurate maintenance of member account transactions and providing general accounting and administrative support.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:
Member Accounting & Support:
Answer member inquiries in person, by phone, or email
Administer member accounts (cash receipts, EFT/cheque distribution, journal entries)
Record honey intakes and post receipts to member accounts
Process payments, reconcile accounts, and prepare member statements
Monitor and distribute member credit information
Administer loan programs and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Provide reception coverage, greet guests, and oversee sign-in procedures
Accounting Operations:
Monthly general ledger reconciliations
Run interest calculations and T5s
Reconcile member drums and storage honey
Prepare and distribute year-end and calendar statements
Support with other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE HIVE:
Grade 12 High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
Minimum 3 years of accounting and administrative experience
Post-secondary education in accounting is an asset
Strong mathematical and accounting aptitude
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Excel required)
Experience with Sage X3 or other ERP systems is a definite asset
Comfortable with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams, Skype)
Excellent communication and listening skills
Attention to detail, reliability, and a drive for results
Ability to multi-task and work independently
