Job Description

Maple Ridge nursing home is a brand new long-term care home, serving 60 residents and their families, located in Oromocto, NB

The Accounting/IT Tech is responsible for effective and efficient management of all financial resources, programs, resident trust accounts, and conservation of the assets of Maple Ridge (including phone system, Internet, TV, nurse call, computers, and various other IT items).

Responsibilities:



- Conduct the day-to-day accounting functions of the company; including payroll, A/P, and A/R

- Prepare annual budgets for Maple Ridge with assistance from the leadership team and head office;

- Ensure monitoring and analysis of the overall budget and assist each Manager with the control of expenditures;

- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and key performance indicator reports for various entities in a timely manner;

- Develop and maintain financial management policies, systems and processes and identify opportunities for improved efficiencies;

- Participate in leadership team meetings;

- Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including residents, families, volunteers and staff

- Liaise with staff to investigate and escalate technical issues as appropriate to Head Office or outside contractor

- Troubleshooting with staff to resolve concerns related to internet/network connectivity and email

As the ideal candidate, you will possess:



- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills

- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams

- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
