Job Description

Jones & O'Connell LLP Chartered Professional Accountants is a public accounting firm located in downtown St. Catharines. We offer a wide range of financial services including: Accounting, Auditing, Corporate and Personal Tax Compliance and Planning, Financial Advice and General Consulting, to clients in various industry sectors across the Niagara Region and other geographic regions. We are looking for a skilled Accounting Technician to perform corporate year end and personal tax functions.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare Compilation financial statements for small businesses Prepare corporate tax returns Prepare personal tax returns Bookkeeping services including bank reconciliations, data entry, HST reporting, T4 and other forms

Key Skills

Working Knowledge of Sage 50, QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online is an asset Self starter with a strong commitment to meeting client deadlines and an attention to detail, together with the ability to work directly with clients in a comfortable and professional manner. Proficient in a Windows based software environment and Microsoft Office Excellent time management, ability to multi-task, prioritize Excellent written and verbal communication skills Efficient, accurate, reliable Actively listens, clarifies, understands

Experience:

College diploma and experience with tax preparation is preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 44 per week
