We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and organized individual to join our accounting team!

HNG Accounting Group is a small, busy family owned firm providing professional accounting services, ranging from corporate year-ends to personal taxes and everyday bookkeeping.

As an accounting technician, you will work to maintain a complete set of books for various types of clients. You should be comfortable working independently and able to follow instructions from others.

Candidates must have small business accounting experience!

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

- Maintaining a complete accounting system for a company
- Processing accounting documents into Sage and Quickbooks software
- Reconciling accounting records
- Establishing, maintaining, and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Sorting paperwork from clients to prepare reports

Job requirements:

- Completion of a program in accounting/bookkeeping
- Accounting experience is a must!
- Ability to work under time constraints
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized
- Proficient in English
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a small team

Other skills/knowledge that would be an asset for this position:

- Basic knowledge and understanding of personal & corporate tax returns, financial statements
- Basic knowledge and understanding of services provided by Canada Revenue Agency

After a three month probationary period, you may become eligible to join our health/dental plan.
