Responsibilities

Preparing compilation engagements Preparing corporate and personal income tax returns Providing assistance to clients with bookkeeping tasks including recording transactions, reconciling bank accounts, preparing HST return and reporting results to management Participating in the efficient preparation and completion of working papers, financial statements, and corporate tax returns for compilation engagements, according to firm and regulatory standards for clients in various businesses Effective preparation and completion of tax assignments, including preparation of tax returns (T1, T2, HST), and to ensure queries are cleared and deadlines are met Preparation of trust returns (T3)

Qualifications

Strong mathematical skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, and ADP. Experience with payroll processing is preferred but not required. Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail. Ability to analyze accounts and prepare financial reports accurately. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience in a CPA firm will also be considered.
