Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Accounting Technician

to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and data entry, utilizing a range of accounting software. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic financial environment, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the organization's budgeting and financial analysis efforts.

Responsibilities



Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero to process transactions accurately. Perform data entry tasks related to financial transactions, invoices, and expense reports. Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy of financial records. Assist with account analysis and budgeting activities to support financial planning. Maintain organized records of financial documents and transactions for audit purposes. Support payroll processing using systems like QuickBooks and PayEvo. Collaborate with the Senior Accountant on closing activities and financial reporting.

Requirements



Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday, PeopleSoft, Ceridian. Strong understanding of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and data entry procedures. Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll systems. Excellent math skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis and Intermediate to Advance MS Excel and Word Skills. Familiarity with financial services environments is preferred. Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Prior experience in a similar role or relevant internship is advantageous. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in accounting or finance is a plus. Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
