ASW Accounting is seeking to hire a full-time permanent accounting technician for our busy growing firm. The perfect candidate will enjoy working and collaborating with others and be driven to provide the best possible service to our customers. Our office is closed Fridays during the summer so you have more time to spend with family.

The Job:

We are seeking a quick learner with the ability to efficiently acquire knowledge of small-business bookkeeping using QuickBooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online, including filing GST returns and performing bank reconciliations.

In addition, there is potential for future training to prepare corporate tax returns, personal tax returns, and attend professional development courses in these areas as necessary.

We are a small office, so everyone is expected to assisting customers to fill out forms and applications for various government programs, answer phones, and cover the reception desk when needed.

*Must have a good understanding of business and accounting practices.
*Experience working with Quickbooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online is an asset.
*Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to converse with customers, Canada Revenue Agency, and colleagues.

*Demonstrates leadership skills.
*Comfortable utilizing computer programs, spreadsheets, and adept with general computer skills such as typing and troubleshooting.

*Organized and able to meet filing deadlines.

Education:

Minimum Education Requirement: 2 year diploma in Business Administration (Accounting)

Compensation:

Will be based on experience and abilities.

Benefits:

Health/Life/Disability coverage is covered 50% by ASW and begins after 3 months employment.
