Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician, Freight on a permanent basis at our Home Office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

What you'll do:

You will be responsible for processing, batching & keying petroleum meter tickets, following up and processing outstanding EDI tickets, setting up unconfirmed freight at month end, and preparing trucking operations and cost/sales report.

• You will batch and key meter tickets, confirm freight information, request copies of missing meter tickets.
• You will track, reconcile, and pay lease operator holdbacks and key monthly charges to lease operators
• You will code and process freight payments to common carriers and lease operators for product deliveries.
• You will reconcile and track common carrier claims done by the distribution centres.
• You will follow up and process outstanding EDI meter tickets from CRC, and correct and process rejected EDI meter tickets.
• You will set up unconfirmed freight at month end, prepare and distribute petroleum trucking operations and cost/sales reports.
• You will adjust and correct bills of lading as required, reconcile various general ledger accounts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Finance and:

• You have a high school diploma and two (2) post-secondary courses in financial accounting (from an accredited post-secondary institution).
• You have a minimum of One (1) years of relevant accounting experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience related to the applicable functional area.
• You have a typing speed of at least 40 wpm
• You're honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
• You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
