Temporary position of 12 months.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounting Technician, Corporate Accounting & Reporting will be involved in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports related to governance and disclosure requirements. They will be involved in the month-end process by performing various accounting entries, and a reconciliation related to accounts receivables. They will also assist in various tasks relating to our Accounts Payable, Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting teams, as well as loan and treasury accounting when required.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

Provide support to the financial reporting team for the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements, dashboards, and various internal financial reports (consolidating/perfecting reports including presentation layout and design, preparing mailing packages to send to various committees)

Ensure compliance over the internal controls\xe2\x80\x99 certification process documentation on a quarterly basis (preparing, sending and following-up on ICC certificates).

Prepare monthly Board and Senior Management Committee Disclosure reports related to expense reports with the highest level of integrity, accuracy, and timing.

Responsible for the travel management which includes reports and coordination with various travel suppliers to ensure adequate documentation and internal processes are maintained.

Responsible for issuing finance credit cards by processing addition/deletion/change instructions to financial institutions providing credit services and following-up to ensure they have been carried out.

Create BDC invoices for internal clients and ensuring proper recording to GL using the A/R system, including payment process.

Provide corporate accounting support by performing various accounting entries related to operating expenses.

Act as a replacement to the administrative assistant in their duties on occasion.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Accounting/Business Administration.

3 to 5 years of experience in a financial institution, an asset.

Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Very strong skills and knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Good team player and can easily adapt to changing work environment.

Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Tact, diplomacy, and discretion.

Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in both official languages (French and English).

Ability to work under pressure and organize work around tight deadlines.

Ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
