Job Description
CAREER OPPORTUNITY - ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN MRSB Accounting and Assurance Division is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our dynamic team, with the primary responsibilities including:
- Preparing year end working papers
- Preparing Compilation, Review and Audit Engagement client files, in a range of industries
- Preparing Corporate Tax Returns and Charity Returns
- Preparing and filing other government remittances such as HST and Payroll
- Maintaining relationships with clients
- Minimum of 2-3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the public accounting industry
- Strong understanding of Canadian General Accepted Auditing Standards
- Strong understanding of ASPE, ASNPO, PSAB and IFRS
- Experience using CaseWare Working Papers, TaxPrep, Sage50 and QBO
- Excellent time-management, organizational, communication and analytical skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
- Team player with strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills
- Ability to do some local travel
