Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in our team by:

Providing bookkeeping support to our clients and internal professionals. Handling various accounting service assignments, including general ledger postings, account reconciliations, and report generation from accounting systems. Efficiently managing compilation engagements, including direct client interaction for queries, requirements identification, and issue resolution. Preparing corporate and personal tax returns. Fulfilling other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business, or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping and accounting practices. Proficiency with accounting software such as QBO, Sage 50, QuickBooks desktop, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with bookkeeping applications like Dext or Caseware is a strong asset. Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software. Effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Flexibility to meet the unique needs of our clients, including occasional travel to client locations. A team-oriented mindset.

Pay: $17.55-$20.00 per hour
