Our client with over 40 years within the investment industry is urgently seeking an Accounting Technician to join their team. You will have the opportunity to explore the investment sector, work alongside experienced professionals, all within the accounting functions.
Qualifications:
- College or Bachelor\'s Degree in accounting or relevant experience
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Fluently bilingual for communications outside Quebec
- Organized and attentive to detail
- In-depth knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel
Responsibilities:
- Monthly bank reconciliations for various legal entities
- Periodic GST/PST filings for various legal entities
- Preparation and coordination of all government/regulatory filings
- Cheque and deposit preparation, when required
- Verification and maintenance of investment portfolio transactions on software platform
- Assistance with monthly reconciliation of all brokerage accounts in investment portfolio
- Assistance with monthly accruals for closing of G/L and books
