Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Team Leader to join our dynamic finance department. This role is crucial in overseeing the accounting team, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of various accounting functions, including budgeting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Oversee budgeting processes and provide insights for financial planning. Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately. Conduct bank reconciliations and account analysis to maintain financial integrity. Utilize accounting software, such as Xero, to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with corporate finance regulations and accounting standards. Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data. Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making.

Requirements

Proven experience in an accounting role with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Strong knowledge of budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes. Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
