Compensation Range: $120,000 - $135,000/year, prorated for 6 months

Job Title: Accounting System Implementation Specialist (6-Month Contract)

Compensation Range: $120,000 - $135,000
Your role:
Warner Music Canada is implementing a new global accounting system and is seeking two experienced Accounting and Finance professionals to support the successful system launch. These roles are critical in ensuring a smooth transition by supporting system readiness, coordinating with the business, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience as a Controller, Finance Manager, or similar, with strong knowledge of month-end close processes and exposure to accounting transition system implementations.
Here you'll get to:
  • Support parallel runs (old vs. new system) to validate balances and reporting before system is full go-live.
  • Identify and escalate any risks or issues related to local processes or financial reporting within new system.
  • Prepare reconciliations and supporting documentation for the global implementation team.
  • Perform data cleansing, migration checks, and master data management to ensure accuracy in the new system.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end activities to ensure the close process is maintained during the transition.
  • Coordinate with business users to understand local processes and communicate how they will transition into the new accounting system.

  • Assist in the documentation of new workflows, procedures, and controls.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks and provide project support as required by the Finance Director.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in historical and current financial data during migration.
  • Act as a liaison with the global FIT team, escalating local issues and ensuring Canadian requirements are met.
  • Train or guide local staff on using the new system once the core team has been trained.
  • Assist with additional tasks or special projects as required
About you:
  • Experience supporting ERP or accounting system implementations (SAP, Oracle, S/4HANA, or similar preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at the Finance Manager or Controller level.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end and quarter-end close processes.
  • Strong technical skills in Excel and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with global and local teams.
We'd love it if you also had:
  • CPA designation (or international equivalent) strongly preferred.
