Accounting Supervisor -- VCG LLP

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor with a strong background in accounting to oversee client engagements, lead a team of professionals, and ensure the delivery of accurate and insightful financial information. This is a key leadership position offering long-term career potential within our growing firm.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and review the work of accountants and junior staff, providing mentorship and technical guidance. Manage multiple client files and ensure timely completion of compilations and reviews. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, financial statements, and working papers. Advise clients on accounting standards, tax compliance, and business process improvements. Perform complex reconciliations, financial analyses, and prepare management reports. Coordinate and review sales tax, payroll, and other regulatory filings. Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and strategic support. Identify opportunities to improve internal processes, efficiency, and team collaboration. Contribute to firm-wide initiatives and staff training.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA designation (required). 7+ years of progressive accounting supervision experience, must be experience in an accounting firm. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising staff or managing client files. Strong technical knowledge of ASPE and Quebec/Canadian tax regulations. Proficiency with CaseWare/CaseView, Ifirm, Quickbooks Online and WagePoint. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective communicator in French and English, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
