Reporting to the Manager, Internal Reporting & Planning, the role of the Accounting Student, is to support the Corporate accounting, financial reporting, analysis and planning for Enerflex. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in financial accounting & analysis, month-end closing, budgeting and forecasting.

With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. Office location will be the Enerflex Downtown Calgary office.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare and book monthly entries into SAP.
• Support the Corporate Accountant in GL account analysis and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly variance analysis of Corporate cost centers - working closely with cost center heads.
• Assist with quarterly reporting, including Board and Audit Committee presentations, and audit requirements.
• Assist with quarterly forecast and annual budget - working closely with regional finance team.
• Ad hoc projects and assistance to the Corporate Reporting team, where needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Accounting program, with successful completion of at least 2 years of the program.
• Strong knowledge in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; experience in SAP considered an asset.
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong analytic and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail is critical; and
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
