Are you an Accounting Clerk looking to join a well-respected organization? Robert Half has an employment opportunity for a candidate seeking an Accounting Clerk position at a department in need of support. The Accounting Clerk will match invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assist with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). What you get to do every day

- Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of an array of sources

- Assist Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

- Categorize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

- Harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- Support Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

- Broadcast financial information to journals and ledgers

- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus

- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

- Experience with Posting Payments

- Foundational knowledge in cash posting

- Hospital Billing experience required

- Comprehensive knowledge of Billing Functions

- General familiarity with reconciliations

- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Well-founded grasp of data entry

- Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
