DescriptionAccounting Specialist

$50,000 - $55,000

Hybrid

  • Accounting and bookkeeping functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable & collections, lease administration
  • Process supplier invoices and cheque runs
  • Generate sales invoices and recording payments
  • Communicate with clients and/or vendors through phone and email regarding accounting related matters such as delinquent payments
  • Perform monthly Bank reconciliations and other general ledger reconciliations \xe2\x80\xa2Reconcile corporate Visa cards
  • Assist with the month-end close process; account analysis and journal entries
  • Support Finance Manager in preparing year-end financial statements for both Canada and the U.S.
  • Assist with U.S. payroll processing and provide support for HR Specialist
  • General administrative duties including mail/courier, office supplies, banking and occasional reception duties, scheduling and filing
Requirements:
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping/Payroll: 2 years+ (preferred) working within small to medium sized organization
  • Diploma in Accounting or Business preferred
  • Proficiency using QuickBooks (preferred) or similar accounting program
  • MS Excel and MS Office skills
  • Intercompany billing and US sales tax experience an asset
