The Travel Agent Next Door is seeking a dependable Accounting Receivable Coordinator to join our Finance team. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to quickly learn new systems while working independently. Strong organizational skills and excellent time management are essential, along with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
In this role, you will support our Accounts Receivable department by handling cash receipt postings, bank deposits, reconciling bank accounts, processing fees and work closely with partner agents and suppliers via phone and email to resolve inquiries related to commission receivables and collaborate with the team to meet deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Reconcile bank statements daily and ensure supporting documentation for month-end close
Process monthly invoices and one-time program fee charges and post the journal entries
Follow up with agent partners on outstanding invoices and coordinate with collection agencies to ensure timely recovery of overdue accounts
Posting journal entries for payroll deposits
Process agent personal travel payments and provide backup documentation via email
Process and deposit commission cheques into CAD and USD bank accounts
Record bank charges and foreign exchange in general ledgers
Verify deposit remittances and commission sheets against CRM records
Review agents pay statements and resolve commission discrepancies
Analyze and adjust invoices as needed
Communicate with departments to ensure accurate accounting entries
Prioritize tasks to meet payroll and posting deadlines
Resolve complex accounting transactions
Assist with month-end and year-end processes
Ensure confidentiality of financial information
Perform additional duties as required
Qualification Requirements
Minimum 1 year of accounting or bookkeeping experience
High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
Strong knowledge of Microsoft excel required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
