Accounting professional who thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision this could be the Bookkeeper role for you if you are self-driven and organized. We are aiming to find a skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper for our client. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is responsible for overseeing cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will also take care of the clerical staff. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Waterloo, Ontario area. Apply for this role today!

What you get to do every single day

- Assemble subcontractor 1099\'s, and any other IRS year-end requirement

- Outline business license and gross receipts

- Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

- Handle monthly accounting close

- Catalog budget transfers

- Group sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

- File cash flow projections, as needed

- Other distinguished projects when necessary

- Skilled in credit card management and reconciliation

- Familiar with Accounts Receivable

- Update Accounts Payable

- Execute cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
- Vow to meet business deadlines

- Highly organized and self-motivated

- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

- 5+ years of related experience- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills

- Crucial accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

- Month-end Financial experience

- bi-Monthly Payroll experience

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
