If you can lead inventory and recognize revenue for projects, review and improve processes, work with senior management on budgeting, and assist with reporting, you might be right for this position. This Accounting Manager role is based in the Waterloo, Ontario area (hybrid, in- office 4 days/ week) and is a permanent employment opportunity that is not to be missed!

Major responsibilities

- Command sufficient knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

- Monitor, track, and report on inventory levels

- Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

- Regularly review and inspect balance sheets accounts owned by the Accountant

- Assist in the improvement of processes and procedures

- Lead and supervise the accounting team performance to ensure deadlines are met

- Organize a variety of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies

- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

- Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset

- Asset Inventory experience

- Command of budgeting

- Deep understanding of inventory costing

- Project accounting experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis

- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

- 3+ years of recent relevant financial experience

- Leadership skills and/ or capabilities

- Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently

- Demonstrated technology and analytical abilities
