We're looking for an

Accounting Manager

to take full ownership of the accounting function--from daily operations to process optimization and team leadership. If you're excited by continuous improvement, empowered teams, and full-cycle accounting, we want to hear from you!




What You'll Do:




Lead and manage all day-to-day accounting operations including full-cycle AP/AR, direct deposits, bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and tax remittances Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and accounting workflows Drive team success by setting and executing clear Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) Collaborate across departments to support company-wide goals Contribute to special projects such as system upgrades and process automation Ensure GAAP compliance, manage internal controls, and handle sensitive information with integrity Act as a payroll backup when needed Coach, support, and review performance of direct reports--building a culture of accountability and excellence



What You Bring:




CPA designation (required) 3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including higher-level or specialized functions 3+ years in a leadership role, managing and developing accounting teams Strong project management skills with a proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives. Experience in a growth-oriented, mid-sized business environment Advanced Excel and proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset A team player who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment



Bonus Points (Nice to Have):




Experience with remote teamsor multiple tax jurisdictions (provincial, federal, or US taxes) Familiarity with corporate tax prep, GST/HST filings, and audit processes Experience automating accounting systems or migrating to cloud-based tools Payroll knowledge or certifications
