About the Company
Our client is a multi-service registered charitable organization. They are looking for an Accounting Manager who will be responsible for leadership and development of A/P and A/R staff, including oversight of accounting processes.

About the Opportunity

• Ensuring accuracy of financial results by preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements, including analysis of major variances to Budget and Forecast
• Creating BI reports to support and enhance the production of financial statements
• Delivering accurate and timely reporting to external stakeholders including Ministry of Health, Grant Providers and other organizations
• Liaising with Program Managers and Senior Leaders in support of operational goals, providing financial information and insights
• Filing of all required business/corporate returns: HST, Charity Returns, WSIB, etc.,
• Owns the month-end closing process:

• Performs Bank Account Reconciliations
• Maintains accurate balance sheet accounts
• Hands on Supervision of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
• Implementing system upgrades and improvements in conjunction with Director of Finance
• Reviewing and updating policies and procedures, and monitoring practices to ensure proper internal controls
• Assisting with preparation of Annual Budget and Forecast, including dissemination to the Ministry of Health
• Assisting with year-end audit co-ordination and manages preparation of working papers, working directly with external auditors
• Other duties, reports and analysis as required

About You

• Professional designation (CPA (CMA/CGA/CA)), or in progress
• A minimum of 5 years progressive experience full cycle Accounting experience
• Experience working in a small company or NPO strongly preferred
• Magement experience preferred, or coaching/ training/ mentoring junior staff (required)

Salary Range
$102,000/year
