Our growing company is looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to take charge of our bookkeeping and financial management as we scale. In this pivotal role, you will perform essential bookkeeping functions, ensure accurate financial records, manage day-to-day accounting tasks, and provide critical financial insights to support strategic decision making. Duties include:
-Execute consistent accounting policies, controls, and procedures, while adhering to Companywide policies and procedures
-Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions
-Payroll administration
-Process and reconcile AR/AP cycles
-Bank reconciliation and general ledger close
-Complete and file all applicable government remittances
-Execute on contribution margin and gross margin reporting at the product and facility level
-Continually analyze and report production costs by job / project, with keen focus on materials, labour, and overheads applied
-Complete month end closing in a timely manner
-Prepare monthly income tax provisions and provide support for income tax preparation and planning
-Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
-Prepare site level cash flow projections & payment management planning
-Support site level customer & vendor pricing with Business Development & Purchasing;
-Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
-Contribute to the development and monitoring of business performance metrics
-Prepare, support, and analyze annual Business Planning & quarterly Forecasting with facility leadership;
Ideal Skills Candidates have:
- CPA or CGA designation
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a senior-level accounting / finance role at a mid-sized business;
-Strong knowledge of GAP
-Advanced level skills using Microsoft Excel;
-Experience in the manufacturing industry;
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills
