In this role, you will supervise and develop a team of accountants dedicated to the financial accounting of business entities. You will play a key role in supporting the business and corporate entities, various continuous improvement, and control efficiency projects, as well as in the development of the team. All of this in collaboration with various teams such as the different corporate departments and operational sectors.

Place of work: 1500, Boulevard Jules Poitras, St-Laurent. Possibility of working remotely (hybrid).

More specifically, your day-to-day work will look like this:

  • Provide quality accounting expertise to internal collaborators and business entities.
  • Follow up on the rigorous application of policies and procedures in accordance with the service agreements and ensure their review and update.
  • Supervise the monthly and quarterly closings of the business units.
  • Review and optimize the various monthly and quarterly analyses to increase their added value and ensure quality.
  • Implement adequate internal controls in collaboration with other team leaders while participating in the update of key 52-109 procedures and controls.
  • Provide assistance with internal and external audits.
  • Ensure the integrity of financial data under his/her governance.
  • Review processes to be a value-added business partner and collaborate in the development of new tools.
  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects for accounting activities and ensure the proper integration of new business entities.
